Jim Shaw
Jim Shaw has more than twenty years of commercial real estate experience facilitating office and industrial property sales and leases totaling over $200 million dollars and $80 million in gross land sales. Jim brokered the sale of more than $18 million dollars of land in Fort Bend County in 2008.
Prior to joining Indermuehle & Co., Jim’s real estate career was with Grubb & Ellis in San Diego, California as a Senior Marketing Consultant as well as a broker in Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minnesota.
In the fast growing North San Diego County City of Carlsbad, California, Jim successfully marketed a 250 acre-planned Industrial/Office Park (Carlsbad Airport Centre). He represented Huntington Beach Oil Company, Chevron Land, Hunt Family Holdings and several REIT land acquisition projects in Southern California. He also represented Opus and Binger/Tartan interests in Minnesota.
Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin. He then flew for the US Navy as a fighter pilot for six years prior to entering the commercial real estate business in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Jim has made Sugar Land, Texas his home after returning to the United States in 1998 from several years of developing and managing medical waste companies in the Middle East.
He is actively involved in his community as a member of the City of Sugar Land citizen’s police academy alumni organization and a member of the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Sugar Land. He is also a member of the Richmond/Rosenberg Chamber of Commerce. Jim is a volunteer for and a Board Member of Child Advocates of Fort Bend.
