Tawnya Dornak has been in commercial real estate for twenty four years in the Houston area. Prior to her real estate career, she was in the oil & gas business working for two major oil firms, and specializing in contract management.

She began her real estate career in retail development. While working for Stanley Jewell Interests, she was involved in the planning and construction of six retail centers with responsibilities in all phases of development including: site selection, lending, architecture, construction, leasing and property management.

During the recession in the 1980’s she was employed as leasing manager for a Chicago Saving and Loan that owned several buildings due to loan foreclosure in the greater Houston area. Negative absorption was being experienced in the office market, but Tawnya was successful in increasing the occupancy of these properties.

In 1989 she became the director of leasing for K. D. Management, then a subsidiary of Kinghorn Driver Mortgage, where she was involved in the takeover of several foreclosed properties for large institutional owners. She represented twelve commercial properties in three Texas cities.

Since 1992 she has been affiliated with Larry Indermuehle of Indermuehle & Co. and participates in business transactions in all facets of the commercial real estate spectrum in both leasing and sales.
